The Digital Morgue is a searchable database of animation clips that was created during 2014 in Melbourne, Australia.

We encourage you to share this site and it’s password with anyone that you think will enjoy it. However we ask that you share it privately rather than publicly, please no posting of the password on social media or websites. This site was made by animators for the animation community and the ‘non-public’ and ‘educational’ nature of the site will hopefully allow it to remain up and running without us getting sued.

You can search by for clips by typing in a specific action, animator, character, film, or even studio in the search bar on the left. Once you’ve found a clip you can easily frame by frame it using the arrows on your keyboard. There’s some useful features on the morgue player such as being able to download the clip for offline use, or creating an external link of the clip to easily share with friends without requiring a password.

You can also combine tags to help narrow your search:

e.g: Searching “walk” will return all the clips of characters walking. But searching “walk spongebob” will only return clips of spongebob walking.

Currently The Digital Morgue is NOT compatible with Mozilla Firefox. We encourage you to use Google Chrome or Internet Explorer.
